As part of its strategic commitment to enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of pharmacists, the Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana (PSGH) is thrilled to announce a sponsorship opportunity for 500 pharmacists to participate in a specialized training program in Medication Therapy Management (MTM). This initiative aligns with the PSGH’s broader strategic goal of building capacity through education and research, ensuring that pharmacists can advance their careers, specialize, and ultimately enhance their impact in healthcare delivery.
The training, facilitated by the Ghana College of Pharmacists (GCPharm), will provide pharmacists with the essential skills needed to deliver patient-centered MTM services, leading to optimal health outcomes. The program’s structured modules are designed to ensure that participants are thoroughly trained and accredited to provide MTM services across the country. This initiative not only supports the PSGH’s strategic objectives but also complements ongoing efforts to introduce a professional services fee, further recognizing and compensating pharmacists for their clinical expertise.
Pharmacists who are committed to advancing their careers and making a significant impact on patient care are encouraged to apply for this transformative program. This is a unique opportunity to be among the pioneers shaping the future of pharmacy practice in Ghana.

Medication Therapy Management (MTM) is such a valuable service! It’s reassuring to know that pharmacists are available to help us optimize our medication regimens. They not only ensure that we’re taking the right medications but also help manage side effects and interactions. It’s all about personalized care, and I love how MTM empowers patients to take an active role in their health. Have you had an MTM consultation? I’d love to hear how it helped you!
