The Lady Pharmacists Association of Ghana accepted an invitation to the law firm Benstil Enchill, Letsa, and Ankomah for a breast cancer awareness session on Friday, October 18, 2024. Led by pharmacists Ewuarabena Ansah and Giovanna Osei, with Pharm Kwabena Asante Offei facilitating, the team engaged the firm’s staff in an interactive and informative discussion on breast health. The session highlighted early detection techniques, risk factors, and the importance of regular self-exams, drawing enthusiasm and support from both men and women.
Reflecting on the success of the event, LAPAG leaders expressed their gratitude for the warm reception and the eagerness displayed by participants to learn more about breast cancer prevention and support. The overwhelming engagement demonstrated the importance of workplace health education and the collective power of communities in combating breast cancer.
In a related development, the Northen regional branch of LAPAG, led by Lady Pharmacist Hellen Miibil Adok, conducted a free breast cancer screening and awareness campaign for pharmacy staff at the Tamale Teaching Hospital. The initiative, which aimed to improve early detection and prevention practices, drew praise and congratulations for LAPAG’s commitment to the health and well-being of healthcare providers.
