The President of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana, Pharm. Samuel Kow Donkoh on Friday May 2022 perpetuated his long-standing tradition of visiting and engaging the leadership and members of various regional branches of the PSGH. The president met members of the Central Regional Branch of the PSGH at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital when he visited the regional capital to grace the inaugural lecture of the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast. President Sam Donkoh was received by the Director of Pharmacy at the Cape CoastTeaching Hospital, Dr. Robert Incoom. The President took the opportunity to interact with pharmacists, house officers and final year PharmD students.
The interactions centered around AGM 2022 in Tamale, regulatory concerns, financial clearance for house officers, and diversification of the clinical-focused PharmD curriculum to include specialization in other practice areas, among many others. The President assured them that he and the SEC are working assiduously to address their concerns.
The PSGH-CR was led by their vice-Chair, Pharmacist Daniel Asante, the secretary Dr. Barbara Adu-Brimpong, Vice Secretary & head of Educational Campaign Dr. Daniel Anokwah, and organizer Godfried Onso-Nyameye. They expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the president for the timely visit and called for many more similar engagements in the future.
